We have now showcased some of the very cool vintage instruments that are available from GVMH. In the case when this picture was taken are a beautiful 1915 Washburn bowl back mandolin, an amazing 1964 Fender Jazzmaster, a great 1966 Gibson SG Special, a National Debonaire, a 1923 Langstile tenor banjo, an early 1890's Carl Vinzar violin, a Supro double neck lap steel guitar, and an assortment of vintage parts. This Jackson was customized with EMG pickups, a black 81 in the neck and a chrome 81 in the bridge position. The controls were moved (a wooden plug was used to cover the extra hole, which will make it easy to change back in the future if desired), full setup work, and topped off with a beautiful bone nut. This guitar will be rockin' for a long time to come!
We had the opportunity to serve another touring pro, Adrian Andres, who is touring as the guitarist for the Cirque Du Soleil Saltimbanco show. Adrian liked what we did for his main guitar so much that he brought us his backup so both would be in their best playing form for the rest of the tour (leaving for Europe after finishing here in Columbus Ohio). He had this to say:
I have the good fortune of being a touring guitarist. It is my job to have a finely tuned instrument. I've been to at least 17 supposed "guitar luthiers" and none of them kept me in tune.
Thank God I found Bill Foley. His work is MILES above the rest. I can now go onstage with one less thing to worry about.
