He found the body, unfinished, on a certain on-line auction site. The gorgeous finish it now wears was applied by our Finisher Extraordinaire, Steve Rich. The pickups are Seymour Duncan, with a Jazz in the neck and a Custom 5 in the bridge position. The pickups have coil cut capability using push-pull pots. The bridge is a TonePros tune-o-matic style for function and style. Dunlop straplocks ensure that the guitar and the strap do not part ways unexpectedly. This is quite possibly the nicest Iceman out there!
The headstock was a blank when it came in, Bill fashioned it into the form it now has. The Grover Minis top it off with functional style, and the bone nut looks beautiful and allows those great tuners to do their job with ease.

This is a wonderful instrument, light and resonant. The color is Fullerton Red, which seems appropriate for the model named for the original co-founder of Fender. This is an early example of the model, with a three bolt neck. George's signature is on the instrument in two places...
